Originally from Limassol, Cyprus, James moved to California before his senior year in high school.

He played at Huntington Beach High School, where during the 2015 season, his team went undefeated (40–0), capturing the CIF Southern Section championship, the Sunset League title, and achieving No. 1 rankings locally and nationally.
Collegiate Career – University of Hawaiʻi (2016–2020)

Anastassiades earned a scholarship to compete for the UH Rainbow Warriors, joining the program in 2015 and playing through 2020.

Standing at 6′5″, he played as an outside hitter, redshirted in 2016, and eventually became known for his role as a serving specialist and valuable team contributor.
Season Highlights

2020 (Senior Redshirt Year): Appeared in all 16 matches and started three times at outside hitter. He tallied 11 service aces, including at least one ace in nine different matches. His first career start came against Grand Canyon (Jan. 11), where he posted four kills, two digs, one block, and one ace. Later that season, he notched a season-high of five kills and five digs against Queens and had back-to-back two-ace performances against Charleston. He also earned the UH Scholar‑Athlete Award.

2019 (Junior Year): Played in 30 matches (79 sets), contributing nine service aces, 20 kills, 24 digs, and three blocks. Career-highs included seven kills and five digs against Lincoln Memorial, and strong performances against Concordia–Irvine and Queens. He was also named Academic All–Big West.

2018 (Sophomore): Appeared in 10 matches as a serving specialist and backup outside hitter; logged two kills in a match against Lees–McRae and two aces against Juniata.

2017 (Freshman): Featured in 13 matches, mainly as a serving specialist and backup; recorded one ace and five digs in his collegiate debut against Erskine.

Pursued a major in Kinesiology during his time at UH, building a strong foundation for his post-playing career.
Professional Training & Coaching

After collegiate play, James transitioned into coaching and training. He founded Volley Method, a training platform that emphasizes technique, movement mastery, and personalized development for volleyball players.

Through Volley Method and related coaching roles since 2015, he has conducted clinics, small group training, and private sessions, serving as a hitting specialist and helping athletes develop their craft with intention and precision.

Kupono Fey

Early Life & High School
Born on Oʻahu and raised in Honolulu, Kupono Fey attended Punahou School, where he excelled in both volleyball and basketball. He helped lead the Punahou volleyball team to back-to-back state championships in 2012 and 2013, along with three straight Interscholastic League of Honolulu titles (2011–2013). As a senior, he was recognized as a “Fab 15” selection by the Honolulu Star‑Advertiser, earned first-team all‑league honors, and was named to the all‑tournament team in both state championships. He also played on the basketball team that captured the 2012 state title and earned honorable mention all‑state recognition and his team’s Impact Player Award. He was a standout academically, receiving the Punahou Recognition Award in chemistry (2011) and in Hawaiian and Physical Education (2010).
Collegiate Career at University of Hawaiʻi (2014–2017)
Fey continued his volleyball career as an outside hitter for the Rainbow Warriors from 2014 to 2017. A career highlights summary:

2017 (Senior Year): Captained the team that set a then-school record with 27 wins and advanced to the NCAA semifinals. Named all-MPSF honorable mention, received the Jack Bonham Award as the top male senior student-athlete. He started 29 of 31 matches, averaged 2.75 kills, 1.40 digs, and 0.52 blocks per set, hit .246 for the season, and served 13 aces. Notable performances include a 16-kill match vs. BYU in the MPSF semifinals and a double‑double (11 kills, 10 digs) against UCLA. Led the team with a .970 reception efficiency.

2016 (Junior Year): Started in 27 of 28 matches. Ranked third on the team with a 2.61 kills-per-set average, alongside 1.38 digs and 0.50 blocks per set and 15 service aces. Career-high 23 kills vs. USC, double-double of 16 kills and 13 digs vs. Cal Baptist.

2015 (Sophomore Year): Played all 31 matches (25 starts), tallying 214 kills (2.03 K/S), 33 assists, 19 aces, 164 digs, and 56 blocks. Notched his first collegiate double‑double (17 kills, 12 digs) in the NCAA quarterfinals win over Long Beach State. Career-high 19 kills at BYU and six blocks vs. Penn State.

2014 (Freshman Year): Saw action in 15 matches over 23 sets, averaging 1.04 kills per set. Notable performances include seven kills vs. Long Beach State and USC; hit .455 in that USC matchup.
Academic honors included MPSF All‑Academic recognition in 2015.
Professional Playing Career (2017–2021)
After college, Fey played professionally overseas:

Italy: Competed with S.S.D. Argos Volley S.R.L. in Sora from 2017 to 2020. In 2019, he captained the Argos Volleyball team.

Greece: Joined Foinikas Syros Volleyball Club in 2021, helping the team win the 2021 Greek Cup and finishing as runners-up in the Greek Volleyball League.
International Representation
Fey also shined on the international stage:

Played on the U.S. Youth and Junior National Teams, including competing at the 2015 FIVB Junior World Championships.

Represented the U.S. on the Pan American Team in 2018 and 2019.
-
According to Italian sources: won bronze at the North American U-19 Championship in 2012, bronze at the U-21 North American Championship in 2014, and silver at the Pan American Cup in 2015.
Coaching Career & Accolades (2022–Present)

Selected as an assistant coach for UH in June 2022, serving under head coach Charlie Wade.

In his first season (2023), Hawaiʻi reached the NCAA national title match and won the Big West Championship. The team tallied a 52–10 overall record while he’s been on staff.

UH advanced to the NCAA semifinals again in 2025 and captured their fourth Big West Tournament title.

Coached the Outrigger Volleyball Club Boys 16s to a runner-up finish at the USAV Championship in 2022.

Attended South Torrance High School in Torrance, California, where she served as team captain and played libero.

Played as libero for the Seton Hall Pirates (2013–2016), becoming one of the school's most decorated defensive players.

BIG EAST Libero of the Year — three consecutive seasons (2014, 2015, 2016). She became only the second player in conference history to earn this honor three times.
